Sell your web hosting business
A private conversation for Australian hosts, resellers, and web developers who want to step back from a client list or from website care plans. We do not publish the enquiry.
A hosting business for sale, without a public listing
People searching for a web hosting business for sale in Australia usually land on a broker site. This page is the other side of that. If you want to sell a web hosting business, or only the clients, you can talk to us first and get rid of the middle man. Your name does not go on a board.
That includes a reseller book on WHM, a smaller shared-hosting list, or a mix of panels. Tell us the rough shape. We will say plainly if it is something we can look at.
The client list, on its own
You might want to keep the company and let go of the hosting. A client list is enough to start the conversation: how many accounts, what they pay, which panel they log into, and whether you invoice them yourself.
You do not need a formal valuation before you write. A short description is enough for us to tell you if a call is useful. If you would rather keep selling hosting under your own brand, cPanel reseller hosting is a different product. This page is for leaving the book, not for starting one.
Web developers with care plans
If you build sites and also bill for updates, backups and security, the care work can be the part you want to stop. We already look after live sites on website maintenance, with published hourly rates and monthly care plans.
Two options are available. You can talk about handing the care clients over. Or you can keep the relationship and ask us to do the updates behind you. Either way, say how many plans you have and what a typical month includes. Design and new builds can stay with you.
What the first conversation covers
We are an Australian hosting company, based in Victoria, with reseller services Australia-wide and VPS globally. The first chat is about whether the book fits that, not about publishing an offer.
Useful details, if you have them: a rough account or care-plan count, the panel, where the servers are now, and who invoices the client. Contracts and staff are part of a later conversation if the first one is worth continuing.
We will not buy every list we are shown. If it is not a fit, we will say so.
Confidential chat
Tell us what you want to talk about. You can also call 1800 519 724 or email [email protected]. We do not add your business to a public list.
Before you write to us
Do I have to sell the whole company?
No. Some people want to sell the hosting business. Others want to sell the client list and keep the company name. A web developer might only want to talk about the care plans. Tell us which part you want to discuss.
Will you list my business for sale?
No. This is a private conversation with HSJ Host. We do not put your name, your client count, or your brand on a public listing.
I am a web developer with care plans. Is that in scope?
Yes. If you bill clients for updates, security and backups, we can talk about taking that work on, or about supporting it while you keep the client relationship. New builds are a different conversation.
Is there a minimum number of clients?
We do not publish a minimum. A short note with a rough account count, or a rough number of care plans, is enough for us to say whether a call is worth your time.
What should I have ready?
A rough count of accounts or care plans, the control panel if there is one, where the servers are, and whether you invoice the clients yourself. You do not need a formal valuation before the first conversation.
