Check your inboxes

We list users, aliases and your domain, and confirm you are on cPanel. If you are on Gmail or Google Workspace, or the mailboxes are large or complex, we quote instead of the standard starting price.

Switch and set up Outlook

At the agreed time, new mail starts arriving in Office 365. We stay on until you can send and receive in Outlook.

Why migrate from cPanel email to Office 365

cPanel email is a great fit for straightforward business mailboxes, and the website can stay on shared cPanel hosting. Growing teams often need more. Office 365 (Microsoft 365) adds Exchange email, shared calendars, Outlook across devices, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint under one business account. You only move mail.

Use Outlook across your devices

Business email with Microsoft Exchange

Move your business email to Microsoft Exchange while keeping your existing domain. Microsoft 365 includes built-in spam and malware protection, with Business Premium adding additional security through Microsoft Defender. As part of the migration, we configure the required DNS records so your domain sends and receives through Microsoft 365 correctly.

Shared calendars and Teams meetings sit in the same Microsoft account. Desktop Word, Excel and Outlook sit on Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Premium. Business Basic is enough if you mainly need email, Teams and web apps.

How do I migrate to Office 365?

To migrate email to Office 365 from cPanel, we copy each inbox, then switch your domain so new mail arrives in Outlook on computers and phones. Tell us how many inboxes you have and the domain. If you are on Gmail, Google Workspace or another Office 365 account, use the form and we will quote.

How much does it cost to migrate email to Office 365 in Australia?

Will I lose emails if I migrate to Office 365?

Our migration process is designed to preserve your existing email. We copy the existing mailbox before changing mail delivery, and we do not delete the original cPanel mailbox as part of the migration. Very large mailboxes or old Outlook backup files can take extra work. Mention that on the form.

What are the types of migration in Office 365?

The standard cPanel move we price at $120 per mailbox is copying cPanel email, then switching so new mail lands in Office 365. Complex migrations, large mailboxes and other platforms are quoted separately. Microsoft also supports moving from an office Exchange server, a mix of old and new mail, and from one Office 365 company to another. Those need a quote.

Can you migrate Gmail or Google Workspace to Office 365?

Yes. Gmail to Office 365 and Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 are common. They are not covered by the $120 cPanel rate because calendars, contacts, Google Drive data and more complex account configurations can require additional migration work. Quoted Gmail and Google Workspace migrations are email unless we agree otherwise in the quote. Use the form with how many inboxes you have.

Can I transfer Office 365 to a new computer?

Signing in on a new PC is not an Office 365 mailbox migration. Install Outlook or the Microsoft 365 apps and sign in with the existing account. If you need email moved from cPanel, Gmail or another Office 365 account, use the form on this page.

Can you support Microsoft 365 after the migration?

Yes. After mail is in Microsoft 365, HSJ Host can provide basic ongoing tenant support for $110 per user per month GST inclusive. That covers everyday administration of users, licences and Exchange email, not a full managed IT contract. Licences and support are billed separately from the mailbox move.
