If you’ve just signed up for cPanel hosting with HSJ Host, or you’re pointing an existing domain at your hosting account, one of the first things you’ll need is the correct nameservers. Here they are, along with a bit of context on when to use each set.
HSJ Host cPanel nameservers
Use whichever pair matches the confirmation email or welcome email you received when your hosting account was set up.
Primary nameservers
ns1.whitelabelhostingplatform.com
ns2.whitelabelhostingplatform.com
Alternative nameservers (reseller cPanel accounts)
ns1.hsj.host
ns2.hsj.host
Most HSJ Host cPanel hosting accounts should use the primary pair above. The hsj.host nameservers are mainly used for cPanel reseller hosting accounts. The nameservers listed in your welcome email or client portal are the ones to use for your specific account, so check there first if you’re unsure which pair applies to you.
One thing worth clearing up, whitelabelhostingplatform.com isn’t a third-party company you’ve never heard of. It’s ours. We run it as a separate brand and keep its DNS on its own domain, but it’s the same HSJ Host infrastructure and the same team behind it. So if you spot that domain in your nameservers and it looks unfamiliar, there’s nothing to worry about, it’s still us.
How to update your nameservers
Where you update your nameservers depends on where your domain is registered.
- Log in to your domain registrar (this might be HSJ Host, or another provider if you registered your domain elsewhere)
- Find the domain management or DNS settings section
- Look for an option called “Nameservers,” “DNS Management,” or similar
- Replace the existing nameservers with the HSJ Host pair provided above
- Save your changes
If your domain was registered through HSJ Host, you can update your nameservers directly from the client portal under your domain settings.
How long do nameserver changes take?
Nameserver updates rely on DNS propagation, which isn’t instant. Most changes are visible within a few hours, but full propagation across the internet can take up to 24 to 48 hours in some cases. During this window, your site may load correctly for some visitors and not others, which is normal and resolves itself once propagation is complete.
Why are there two sets of nameservers?
HSJ Host runs cPanel hosting across two server environments, server.whitelabelhostingplatform.com and server.hsj.host. The whitelabelhostingplatform.com nameservers are the primary pair and cover most standard cPanel hosting accounts. The hsj.host nameservers are mainly used for cPanel reseller hosting accounts.
If you’re on standard shared cPanel hosting, you’ll almost always want the primary pair. If you’re on a reseller hosting plan, use the hsj.host pair instead. Either way, the nameservers confirmed in your welcome email or client portal are the ones to go with for your account.
Troubleshooting nameserver issues
My website isn’t loading after updating my nameservers
Give it a bit more time. DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, and this is the most common cause of a site not loading straight after a change.
I’m not sure which nameservers my account uses
Check your original welcome email from HSJ Host, or log in to the client portal and check your hosting account details. You can also contact support and the team can confirm this for you.
I registered my domain somewhere else, how do I point it to HSJ Host?
Log in to whichever registrar you used (such as GoDaddy, Crazy Domains, or another provider), find the nameserver or DNS settings for your domain, and enter the HSJ Host nameservers listed above in place of the existing ones.
Can I use a mix of both nameserver pairs?
No, stick to one full pair. Use both whitelabelhostingplatform.com servers for standard cPanel hosting, or both hsj.host servers if you’re on a reseller hosting plan. Don’t mix servers from each set.
Still need a hand?
If you’re unsure which nameservers apply to your account or you’re running into issues after updating them, the HSJ Host support team is available 24/7 and can be reached through the client portal or by calling 1800 519 724.
