Ad-hoc website maintenance with HSJ Host starts at $80 per hour including GST for simple updates. Medium work is $110 per hour. Major changes, migrations and emergency response are $210 per hour. Monthly care plans start at $475 including GST for 5 hours.
What is included in a website maintenance package?
Updates, security patches, backups, performance checks, content changes and Australian support. Care plans add reserved hours, faster response times and unused hours that roll over. Hosting is billed separately unless you already host with HSJ Host.
What is the difference between ad-hoc support and a care plan?
Ad-hoc is pay-as-you-go when you have a one-off job. A care plan is a monthly package of reserved hours at a lower hourly rate, with priority response. We also call those retainers. Same product, billed monthly.
Do you maintain WordPress websites?
Yes. Most care-plan clients are WordPress. We also look after WooCommerce, custom PHP and other CMS sites. New WordPress builds sit on our WordPress Development page. This page is ongoing maintenance.
Is hosting included in website maintenance?
No. Maintenance is the work on the site. Hosting is the server. You can keep your current host or move onto Australian hosting with HSJ Host. Many clients do both so updates, DNS and tickets sit in one account.
Can you look after a website you did not build?
Yes. We take over existing sites, including sites built by another agency. We start with a health check, then quote ad-hoc work or a monthly care plan.
What happens if the site is hacked or goes down?
Critical outages and security incidents are prioritised 24/7. Care-plan clients use the emergency path. Ad-hoc clients still get in the queue. Level 3 covers breach response, malware cleanup and emergency fixes at $210 per hour including GST.
Are the prices GST inclusive?
Yes. Hourly rates and monthly care plans on this page include GST in Australian dollars.
Do unused care plan hours roll over?
Yes. Starter and Business unused hours roll into the next month. Enterprise unused hours roll on a quarterly cycle. Hours are not a use-it-or-lose-it gimmick.
Do I need to be in Melbourne or Sydney?
No. The team is Australian and the work is remote. We support businesses across Australia. Melbourne and Sydney are where a lot of clients are, not a service limit.
