Introduction

HSJ Host Pty Ltd (ACN 673 728 526), trading as HSJ Host and HSJ.HOST ("HSJ Host"), is committed to preventing modern slavery, including forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage and child labour, in our business and supply chain.

HSJ Host is not required to report under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), which applies to entities with annual consolidated revenue of at least $100 million. We publish this statement voluntarily to explain the steps we take.

1. Our Business

HSJ Host is an Australian company based in Narre Warren, Victoria. We provide web hosting, VPS, domain names, Microsoft 365, and website design and development services to customers in Australia and overseas. Our team works in Australia.

2. Our Supply Chain

Our main suppliers are:

  • data centre, cloud and infrastructure providers, including the providers that host our servers in Sydney and Melbourne;
  • software and licence suppliers, such as Microsoft and cPanel;
  • domain registries and our registrar partner;
  • payment processors and communication providers; and
  • professional services and office suppliers.

3. Modern Slavery Risks

We consider the risk of modern slavery in our own operations to be low, because our team is employed in Australia under Australian workplace laws.

The main risk in our supply chain is indirect. It lies in the manufacture of the computer hardware, such as servers, storage and networking equipment, used by our infrastructure providers. Electronics manufacturing and the mining of the raw materials used in it are recognised as higher-risk industries for modern slavery.

4. What We Do

  • Supplier selection: we choose reputable, established suppliers, such as Microsoft and major data centre and cloud providers, and check their published modern slavery and human rights policies when we engage them.
  • Training: we train our staff to recognise the signs of modern slavery and to report any concerns.
  • Our workplace: we pay our team in line with Australian awards and workplace laws, and do not tolerate forced or exploitative work of any kind. See our Equal Employment Opportunity Statement.
  • Acting on concerns: if we become aware of modern slavery in our supply chain, we will investigate, work with the supplier to address it, and stop working with them if it is not resolved.

5. Reporting a Concern

If you have a concern about modern slavery connected to our business or supply chain, email [email protected]. We will treat your report confidentially. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000. You can also contact the Australian Federal Police on 131 237.

6. Review

We review this statement each year and will update it as our business and supply chain change.

Hosting Policy Updates & Legal Notices

HSJ Host maintains current terms for shared hosting, VPS, domains, and related services under Australian law. When we update a privacy policy, hosting agreement, SLA, or other legal document, the revised version is published here and material changes are communicated to affected customers by email.
